Anyway, I basically got hooked on this game as I was in Year 10 which as a lot of you know is pretty boring unless you love doing coursework. I knew about FM as a community way earlier than when I actually joined, in about December, just after I started playing. However, I did not join as I must admit I was quite shuk for some reason. When I did join however, I had quite a fair bit of pub haxball experience, playing in the FM pubs was the best for me and a lot of players (bring em back), especially the Mad House in the evenings and rach's Whore House at da weekends
. Ssn three was just about to start, can't remember the exact date but I remember the draft. I was talking to a few captains about joining but nothing was very certain. Also, a lot of you now know rolex/tibbers, believe it or not he actually used to play hax and we had a kinda friendly rivalry going on to be picked in the ssn 3 draft. It looked bad after the first few picks for both of us but then PoppyDan picked rolex for his team and i believe that is where he stayed for the rest of that season. I wasn't picked in the draft but I had had some experience in the league when someone thought of creating a reserve league where I played alongside dooms and NannyPat, #acdpreservs2k12.
However, I was given my first chance in this league towards the end of season 3, Fred (naab) and Edgar Davids offered me a place at seedstitch which I gratefully took. I only remember playing one game, not sure if it was more, I was playing with Juventino92 and Booba for the second half of our match and I can only apologise now as I must have been pretty bad back then
. Going into season 4 was fun after the switch to 4v4, with the creation of new teams to expand the league, Fred and somalian2 were both in demand from dooms, a new captain, and this would leave Seedstitch a complete wreck, with me at the helm for the coming season. I managed to twist Fred's arm and get him to play for us and the roster I had at the early part of the season was not great, I had no full time GK so I had to go between the sticks and also no proper DM. However, I did have the ever consistent and dedicated AM-99 and gems in the form of Stefan and Fred at the beginning of the season. Midway through the season, Fred had finally left for dooms' team and having no full time defensive players, we were rock bottom with hardly any points. I started to make some signings at this point, the most valuable in hindsight being Sub-Zero who most of you know as arctic, a full time GK at last. Notable others included Toast, a prolific goalpoacher, Adarax, an experienced AM and at the climax of the season, aeRo, who proved himself to be a good end of season buy. We actually started winning some going into the last few matches of the season but it was too little too late and we finished way down the table after a season to forget, not just for us, but for the whole of FM. (and we beat AC when we weren't even good l0l)
Season 5. My first move to a first division team, Deja had been talking about signing me and before the start of the season the deal was done. I played a fair bit I suppose, mostly in fs and I generally enjoyed the team playing with the likes of Fred, Zizou, rising and Usopp, also arctic who came with me from Seedstitch. At the halfway point, contracts were introduced, and teams could release players that they thought were not performing up to standard or anything like that. I was released from Deja which I'm not really surprised about now although I think I was a bit miffed at the time :|.
Here starts my time in the wilderness that is the Free Agency, I played a lot in other leagues like Galaxy and Haxleague for the first time in a while and I wasn't actually that interested in rejoining 4v4 at the time. Season 6 came around and I was still not interested in playing, so I carried on playing with EU and #javs in the 3v3 leagues.
Pre-Season 7, I started talking to mad a bit more due to my time in the AC YeS ts channel. Suddenly, after playing a few fs with AC Mad offered me a place in the team and I gratefully accepted after having got used to playing 4v4 again. I went into season 7 playing a new aggressive style of haxball with my primary position at the time being AM/ST. This did not last long however as I started filling in for destorm in fs and so I was the substitute GK whenever destorm was not available. I enjoyed playing GK with AC as I liked the element of attack involved especially when 'boxing'. Anyway, we finished 4th, just outside the playoffs after a bit of cheating from VVV smh@ren and in the pre-season before season 8, I decided slowly that my future would not have been bright with da ded peepol because of all the new players mad was signing. I therefore decided to join RR after being persuaded by Seba, mlf, ren n helios (also casper) seen as they had only the 5 players I thought I could help them as well.
So, after playing fs with the 'dream team' we were feeling fairly confident going into the season and in our first few games things weren't going too shoddily, I believe we were actually second or third before AC got good and MD started stacking up their team like pancakes, the fatties. Team morale was high, we were talking a lot on ts and generally just having good fun. Girgensons then was signed on which went well........ Over the christmas break while I wasn't playing hax or on ts Helios had a bit of a coming together with certain other members of the team and decided to leave for Deja :< so we were left with ren to GK but no back-up. A lot of shuffling went on in terms of positions and basically our season flopped about like a dead fish, we had done quite well in the first half of the season but now we were dropping points where it really mattered and this was very bad indeed. The season ended in catastrophe, as a lot of you know what happened against Mighty Ducks in the last game of the season...........
Ssn 9 should be fun, got banks n hc now so we gna rek these new skrub teams with our awesomeness as long as seba doesn't gk full time :>
