It's not a football themed game in any way. It's more of a hockey themed game.

There's a hockey pitch for a reason, because all the others are football pitches, hence football themed game.

You can block players in this, which is a foul in hockey

At the end of the day it's just an advanced version of Pong.

Anywho, naturally I'm a Wolves 'supporter', had trials with them at schoolboy level(was in the same class as Leon Clarke, actually) and failed miserably. I have a slight fondness for Liverpool from my granddad so I watch them when I can. Can't say I'm an avid football fan though to be honest. I prefer to watch Rugby(Worcester Warriors!) and some of the American sports like the NHL & NFL(Flyers & Eagles).

No it's not. Have you ever seen a defender shield the ball to let it go out for a goal kick?

Well OPC, if you block a player the way they do to allow it for a goal kick, in the centre of the pitch, it's an instant free. Just habit now how the rules are defied for the corner flag area.

I think the game is way more like Hockey, being a fan of both. No offsides... big part of football.

Denying an obvious goal scoring opportunity. I'm a referee... (Or a failed footballer, depending on your outlook)
