Season 7 will have 30 teams, Division 2 will be split up into to 2 conferences, division 2a and 2b. The Draw for division 2 and the knockout rounds of the cup will be done tomorrow evening.

Top 4 enter playoffs
Playoff uses eliminator system
Top 4 in league enter CL

2 conferences of 10 teams
Top of each conference is auto promoted
2 & 3 from each conference enter playoffs
Playoffs to use the following format; 2nd Conf A vs 3rd Conf B - 2nd Conf B vs 3rd Conf A - Winner vs Winner earns promotion

The first 2 rounds will be randomized matches and round 3 onwards will be bracket styled matches.
2 teams to be given byes in the first round (cup finalists from the previous season - bayer & starlights)

There's a typo in my Team Name and in the name of IKEA's Captain ^^

The Captain is called Schnuppel , not Schnupple
and my Team name is "Via vita Veritas" here it is a bit ... different

No it's correct.

1st place v 2nd place play, winner goes into the finals.
3rd vs 4th also play against each other, loser comes 4th that season, winner goes onto second round.

Loser of 1st v 2nd plays vs the winner of 3rd v 4th, winner goes into finals. Loser comes 3rd that season.

Grand final = winner of first match v winner of third match, winner wins the title, loser comes 2nd that season.

This system instead of just doing something such as 1v4, 2v3 then a 3rd place playoff and finals is to reward the two teams that manage to get top 2, they get two chances to get to the finals whereas 3rd and 4th only have one chance.

Just telling its lame playing 2,3 months for the championship and then to decide the final winner via playoff. Even though the 1st has "only" 2 extra games. Kinda not fair tho
But whatever at least we can give a try. I'm also afraid of teams getting dissolved because of those extra gameweeks. Season is already fucking too long

The winner of the league will still be the winner of the league.

The playoffs are just a little something extra to add on the end while the D2 playoffs are happening. It should be considered as more of an all-star/charity tournament for the top 4 teams to play, and not something that will be the defining factor in who is the best in the league. This is why the CL seedings will still be based on league position and not playoff results.

They are separate things, essentially. The title winner is the title winner, the playoff winner is the playoff winner. There will be separate awards etc for both I presume.
