Feed Me Haxball

First of all, we will be introducing couple of new things for the upcoming season. There will be a new 3v3 league which will be played along with the 4v4 "main" league. Also the new platform of HTML will be used on 3v3 league.

New 3v3 league:
Like mentioned above, this will be one of the new things for the season. You might be wondering why it was created? We see this new league as an opportunity for the teams with bigger lineups to give more playing time for all of their players.
Since some of the teams in this league are often using only certain players in their league matches, not everyone from their lineups will get the chance to show their skills in the matches.
The new 3v3 league will be played on the same matchdays as the 4v4 league (Thursdays and Sundays 21:30 CET). 3v3 league will be played with the same teams that play 4v4 league. Of course participating for the 3v3 league is not mandatory, so we wont be forcing any team to play on it. The important thing with the 3v3 league is that teams must use the same lineup that they have in 4v4 league. Therefore only teams that play on 4v4 league are allowed to participate in 3v3 league.

League platform:
There were lots of discussions about the platform on which FeedMe league should be played. That's why we thought about it very carefully and came up with the following decision:
The main league (4v4) will be played on Flash still for this season. However, changing it to HTML is very likely after this season.
Meanwhile, the new 3v3 league will be played on HTML. This will also be kind of a test of how HTML works as a platform in the league matches. Depending on how it goes, HTML might be used for the 4v4 league also starting from season 22.

Streams:
Since the new 3v3 league will be played on the same matchdays as the 4v4 league, there will be only one (1) stream match for the 4v4 on each matchday. No matches will be streamed from the 3v3 league, at least for now.

Signings / Transfer Window
- 6.2 Players can only play for one team in each leg. Once a player played for one team, he cant play for any other team during these leg. The first leg includes the Days 1-13, the second leg the Days 14-25.
- Free agency will close on the the 29th March (Day 22) before League Matches (players not allowed to sign up for Free Agency any more)

The 3v3 addition in combination with HTML is very exciting as 3v3 is pretty underrated imo and requires different skills than 4v4 (probably easier to learn for new players). Also it's a good way to get used to HTML. Looking forward to it

A good reason not to play 4n4 for the whole season but I'm excited for 3v3.

Like Barca wrote there, it all depends on how many teams will check-in for 3v3. If there is not enough teams, we will make only one division. Otherwise it will be two divisions like in 4v4.

We thought about this also. But the reason why we came up with having it after 4v4 is that 4v4 will still remain as our main league here and we thought most of the teams might still want to warmup for that playing 4v4 fs. And probably not every team will be playing 3v3 so they should have opponents to play fs with. That's why we thought having 3v3 after the 4v4 league matches is the best option.

If there becomes divisions, how will they be divided? For instance if there's 7 teams from div1 that signs up, and 9 from div2?

Can some teams not from FM are able to play only 3vs3 ?

Unfortunately no, since the 3v3 league uses the same lineups as the 4v4 league.

With this idea i don't agree, don't take my words as bad words, but why we wouldn't make like haxleague & haxtrick were?.. 2 leagues, most of teams same, but different line-ups and team names, ok maybe not team names, but different line-ups.. maybe i would like to play at 3n3, but all my teammates wouldn't, with who I should be playing than?..

Well the idea behind this suggestion was to have a league where captains could select players that had to bench during a 4v4 match. Or so that if your match is wildcarded then hopefully you don't wait around all day without any official. So the focus is still the 4v4 league and this is supposed to just be a nice extra for the players in the squad that don't play. Its kind of aimed at newer players and players that don't get to play 4v4 although ofc we expect some teams to just field their same lineup here as in 4v4 too.

Its also really hard to allow people to be on 2 separate teams using the FM site - its not coded that way for obvious reasons and it wouldn't be simple to change that.

I guess if 3v3 is really important for you to play then you could always sign additional players to your team and tell them they will only be selected in 3v3 matches but not 4v4?
