Postby Herna » June 27th, 2016, 9:34 pm

dont know if there ever was a nice thread like that, but if not its ofc a great idea to create one!

you shall suggest nice authors and books which you want to recommend to other nice people. popularity doesnt play a role.

Over the past few months these have been my favorites, they're in a random order :
- The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams
- Ready Player One by Ernest Cline
- The Martian by Andy Weir
- Slaughterhouse Five by Kurt Vonnegut
- 1984 by George Orwell
- The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry

I'm currently reading The Brothers Karamazov by Fyodor Dostoevsky.

Honorable mentions :
- World War Z by Max Brooks
- Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck
- Ghost in the Wires by Kevin Mitnick

alright heres a legit list of my fave books:

Blood Meridian by Cormac McCarthy
Confessions of a Mask by Yukio Mishima
Gravity's Rainbow/V/Inherent Vice by Thomas Pynchon
Naked Lunch by William Burroughs
The Death of Ivan Ilych by Leo Tolstoy
The Trial by Franz Kafka
Great Expectations by Charles Dickens (the original ending tho)

pretty entry level but they're all classics tbh :pig:

Lately, I got interested in 9/11 events and came across A Mirror above the Abyss https://www.amazon.com/dp/B094NMRWPJ So far, not bad. Maybe someone can recommend something similar?
