What are the most valuable things Haxball taught you?

For outsiders it often just looks like a boring 2D-game, but we who play in it for quite a long time know that even though the physics are really simple, it is a really complex game, especially when you play in teams of 4 and no game is like another.

For me especially when trying to be successful in the game, or just when trying to have fun with a group you like, it is kind of a small simulation of the greater things in life, so I guess everyone can still learn a lot of things from it. I wonder if there's something you have learned from it?

I think for me it's captaining teams for a long time that taught me the most, it's not like i got much better in it, but I wouldn't think before that leading or trying your best with a group of often so different people can be that challenging.

These are the things haxball has taught me about myself:

- I'm arrogant
- I'm hypocritical
- I'm a rager
- I'm a masochist
- I'm unfriendly
- I have OCD

Oh you wanted this to be a positive thread? Sorry!

I know it seems shit and cringy, but haxball has given me a lot of mental strength. As a young fry I was always quick to temper and shit, but I ever since I played hax, in pubs and offis, especially against cancer opponents, all the insults and stuff you start to understand is just part of the competitive environment I guess, and it really has taught me self control perhaps, even if in pubs sometimes I'll have arguments or I rage at myself, but honestly I just feel like a calmer person (i dont rly know to explain how this shit works but ye)
