I'm not going back to flash. 144 FPS. It feels so extremely smooth with my 144hz monitor.

Should definitely be a thing for FM permanently.

FPS is basically your frame rate on your monitor. I've got a 144hz monitor, that's why I've got more FPS. If you have an old monitor, it won't be able to have a higher frame rate which causes low FPS. For you it shouldn't matter anyway since you had to play with that anyway on the flash version. Spend 50€ on a normal monitor and you should be fine.

Make sure that your canvas is hardware accelerated (run some html5 canvas benchmark). For me it works better on FF and worse on Chrome, but I have slight FPS issues on both.

Impossible for me, i play haxball normal in safe mode because i have very bad pc, but i have fucking lags with this html in safe mode, cant :(

new screen size sucks, even when zoomed out. idk why he changed something that didnt need changing and everybody was happy with + used to. xd

In my opinion, the screen size is a big advantage. From what I've seen, it gives you a better overview of the game which is especially helpful for GK's/DM's.

I also like the new screen size, but I can understand the arguments b4d made – I hope basro adds an option to go back to the old size.

the new screen size is pretty good, but there is too much fps lag for me, hopefully they can fix that soon

Try different browsers, for example for me Mozilla is really unplayable, but Chrome/Chromium works well.

Basro changed the looks of the game, the player and ball is a different shape. Less Octagon shaped, and more round.

He thinks just cus the physics are the same that the gameplay will also completely be the same. Now defending in Haxball is going to be really easy to read and defend, but he ignored it cus he thinks that only physics affect gameplay, but in reality the visual part of the game affects the gameplay and which skills work too, and it's just as important that they stay the same imo.

You probably won't be seeing any DM trick like this working (that Hulk does) in the HTML5 Haxball cus of the ball and player shape being more round, despite physics not changing - Image

Which is a big shame, becuase it made defending much harder, and it was a trick that only a few DM's managed to do, and once they showed they could do it they could also use fakes with it to setup other things, etc..

Maybe if enough people comment that they would like the visuals to also be exactly the same, not just the physics, he might do something about it, since when I told him he just said that the physics are the same so it doesn't matter basically. ATM he's taken a lot of depth out of the game with the new visuals.
