Potential input lag fix for NVIDIA USERS

Postby Mey » September 22nd, 2020, 11:57 pm

yoyo, after doing some research in order to improve how hax runs, ive found some settings on NVIDIA Control panel that made my game drastically more faster and responsive(i mean its beyond the game but affects on the game)

Go to NVIDIA Control Panel>Manage 3D Settings>Low Latency mode change to ultra

Image Sharpening On GPU Scaling ticked

Sharpen 0.75
Ignore film grain 0.25

thank me later :)

tried on 280hz monitor + 0.1ms keyboard didn't notice anything

doesnt matter, it affects the inner settings of your video card overall, not haxball specifically.
and ye, some might not need it, i have an 144hz monitor and i noticed better responsiveness overall

The only setting that gives you in-put lag from nvidia control panel is triple buffering.

If you have it on there should be a small in-put lag because the screen will have less tears with it.

Sharpen 0.75
Ignore film grain 0.25

These are just preferences, the only real setting that helps here as you said is

NVIDIA Control Panel>Manage 3D Settings>Low Latency mode change to ultra

Too bad I can't use it, even a bit of improvement would be very helpful. Why basro still didn't fix it and made the game run the same for everybody without one being delayed and one move smoother? Is it really that complicated or he just doesn't care enough
