You can't retire him but you can cut him.

You becoming captain counts as being signed, so it won't be allowed

That's a pointless rule :p Nobody can be signed and teams have to make cuts at the end of the season anyway

Retiring is still allowed, and I am allowed to come out of Management as the period was longer than 4 games. Timmy won't come back that's what I'm saying, and you can retire a player seen it happen before. He just said he wants to quit.

Tim is inactive and we allow forced retirements for inactive people. This also allows Ovo to enter the draft as a player and not manager so he'll be able to play at the start of the season.
