Earbit's is half decent, plays songs from minor bands so I guess it's a good way to find new bands! But I agree Grooveshark is the best site, will be Limewire if they ever find a loophole.

For music in GOOD quality (192kbps or better) I personally use Soulseek, can find pretty much anything!
Or private torrent trackers (what.cd, waffles.fm).

And I use last.fm to find music recommendations.

I use what.cd and it's immense.
