Wednesday Evening Multi-Eventing
Posted: August 25th, 2012, 10:40 pmWe seem to be getting a fair few maps in the library covering a number of sports nowadays and I figure it'd be nice to gather members of all clubs and cliques together for a bit of variety.
I'm planning on holding a weekly/fortnightly series of events, using different maps. One week it could be swimming, the next could be track running, after that we could have tennis.
Alongside the individual competitions held, there could be a league table ranking the best multi-eventers, those taking part in multiple events and excelling. I've got a formula in place so that players aren't punished for failure to attend all events.

For the first event, I'd like to make use of swimming: http://haxballmaps.com/map/3439
So long as there's the numbers, we could have heats, the best 3 or 4 in each heat would progress to the semis, and then the best 7 racers in there would advance to the final.
The points on offer for the multi-eventing will be as follows: 20, 12, 7, 4, 2, 1 - 7th place in the final still earns 0. The winner of every individual event will always earn 20, though the points for other positions could vary depending on the nature of each event.
The second event I have planned would be the 200m, though that's up for discussion if anyone else has other events they wish us to have a go at.
