Hi !

I tried playing hax today after not playing for more than 1 Year.
I saw that it changed to HTML and I tried the following Browsers:
• Firefox
• Chrome
• Opera
• Maxthon
• SR Ware Iron

All of them had frame lags and it was a bit hard to play like this.

Could anyone introduce me into this HTML stuff ?
What Browser is the best now and what other software is important here ?

Note: I dont have a usual Monitor. I am playing with a TV as monitor.

I use the "haxwindow" thing.. you can find it somewhere here in the forum, idk where exactly.. guess salamini did it. I had some problems on browsers as well but it's working perfectly there

Well, html5 is a bit tricky, 2 weeks ago Basro updated some graphic/resolution thing which made some ppl feel really heavy (not everyone, some ppl didn't even notice it).
I guess that's why u were struggling. I asked him about that update and he said that a 144hz monitor will probably fix the bad movement. https://github.com/haxball/haxball-issues/issues/412 idk how it works with a TV tho.

the best browsers for me are chrome and opera, currently i'm playing with chrome but it might change soon..

The Window Version only shows 5 rooms and the nearest was in Egypt, so I couldn't test there.
I also tried to to play on Chrome but the game is still a bit stuttering and with 30 fps it's not "that bad".
Does the Flash player still make a difference ? Or is there any software I need to have better HTML behaviour ?

no not really flash wont help u, i guess its because u dont have a monitor :o
i had a really bad one, yesterday i bought new monitor and haxball is just way better now.

u can try to change resolution, zoom in, change camera view (by pressing 1,2,3,4) and try to make it better for u

I noticed that I can play fluently with Maxthon and the flash version of Haxball. So could a TV instead of a Monitor make a difference when I use the HTML version ?

http://www.salamini.tk/files/haxwin4html/

This is the only currently working Haxwin for HTML that I know of, it's based on the one from fabri which isn't compatible with the new room links anymore.

Other than that you can just try to improve your HTML5 canvas performance (hardware acceleration, VSync, etc.), there are benchmarks on the internet which show the performance of your computer/browser. Then as mentioned above, try the /extrapolation command and for best FPS use the limited viewport (I think it's on 4).
