If Edi thinks that all of those situations were 4def, and if Kivi thinks none of those situations were 4def, you both dont understand the rule i guess, eventhough i dont think anyone understands it exactly but thats anyway why as friendly supporter i suggest both to learn it a bit better.

Whats even more important though is that all players try to fix their disputes with respect to each other!!! and anyway just let your captain do real report or just let it be as this is quite worthless I THINK

Are you serious?

?????

Intercepted due to the fact that there was no way to pass to Nestro (his movement goes forward -> blocked by Allen). -> I fucked up here tbh.

Both pictures are from the FM Season20 Rules thread

idk why the game being 2D makes any difference, but admins should enforce rules if they wna stop 3def violations.

@B4D4SS

It's fine like it is. I played the same against Klub Emertya in fs and no one complained. Complains are mostly coming from the italian / turkish genre or worse teams who take the 3 def rule differently.

btw. if you watch the rec, feel free to take a look at 15:00 where he used his macro to an extreme way to spam our defense due to his rage.

I didn't even know that you were Edi but I'm enjoying it even more now. ;)

Exactly. I went through the replay and found almost 10 offences, including one before the goal and some pretty big/extended ones.

Considering this isnt the first time Kivi does this, he clearly doesnt have any prohibitions with breaking the rules.

The game edge'd in their favour due to 3def violations. Ruined the atmosphere around the game and created an unneccessary mess. You'd think this would be punished, not rewarded, but ok.

The league is still running after starting ages ago so i guess things are working even without a serious rulebook. Fair enough, I guess.

@Stringer what's wrong with the rules? They are clear enough that you as captain should protest in the match topic or write to an admin, they will take a look into it and either warn him for the next matches or banning him for one match. I doubt anything will happen though if you just critisize the rulebook in some weird forum thread.

Originally the 3 def rule was designed to prevent players from 'obvious' 4 deffing. Nowadays it seems like some strikers try to find the limit to where their actions are considered as 4 deffing. This brings up the discussion of where the limit when 3 deffing becomes 4 deffing is. It's imppssible to include very seperate situation in the rulebook which gives us two options: make the rules more specific (e.g. the ST is not allowed to touch the DM at all when the opponents are in attack) with clear consequences for players who violate the rule. The second option is to proceed with these rules and we stop complaining over every small incident. :bomb:

I know ages ago people tested custom map with a 4def line. I think some people didn't like it though and it never continued. What were the problems with it?

Herna, Im not critizing the rules, im saying the rules isnt being enforced. I dont think a team should be able to blatantly disregard the rules, win a tight game because of it and go unpunished. Reason im not making thread is ive already discussed it with admin on ts and been told its pointless.

Im just writing my opinion about it. Not trying to offend anyone. If the admins wants a loose grip on the rules thats fine. I respect your approach, but i definitely disagree with it.

In this case what the admin probably means is that it might be pointless for you because the result of the match wont change, as it werent enough (serious) incidents i guess, if you want those punished though and make sure it wont happen again and other teams wont have the problems you had you should make a protest or something similar, so you and all people get official statement about the rules and the punishment for breaking them, which then helps the league and everyone.
But like this noone really bothers looking really deep into it i guess.
