With the season well and truly underway, it was time to get to the business end of the season, where teams have had to grind out for points. They sure did so, and this is what happened...

Cathletico 0-0 Socerettes

A dissappointing game in all, but one that could be foreseen from the start. Both teams played in a style where they both turn there turns to try and shut each other out.

Lag was all over the place at the start, making it difficult for both teams to defend. For a while, Cathletico had the ball in the Socerettes half, create many chances.

A lot of the action was in the midfield battle, but towards both flanks. Just on the stroke of half time, Maddude played a good ball through to Blazing, who made a mess of his shot. So, the half time interval approach, with that as the only clear cut chance as of then.

Then the second half kicked off, with btoh teams only having three present, so no substitutions. Cathletico began the half well again, with Blazing's cross just touching distance away from a connection by Maddude, which could have made it's way in. Maddude then had his decent shot saved by socrates.

Towards the end of the half, there were two good chances. Firstly, NavJuve shot at the Cathletico goal, which was blocked by Blazing. Seconds later, Cathletico raced up the pitch. Then, Blazing's shot was cleared off the line by NavJuve. Soon the final whistle was blown.

So, it was a well contested game, with both sides seemingly content with a point. More is needed from them though to progress further on. Final score Cathletico 0-0 Socerettes.

NWA 1-0 CircleBoy's

WIth both teams having began the season well so far, it was to be a good contest between these two teams. CircleBoy's lined up with CircleBoy, V-11 and Aidan, whilst NWA had Chef, mc smiley and Rachel.

It was a lag contested first half, with not many chances being being created. Perhaps Aidan disconnecting midway through the half shows just how it was like to play in those conditions. However, NWA broke the deadlock though, with some good work from mc smiley before an empty net for him to shoot at.

Both sides went into the second half all fired up, and there needed to be improvements from CircleBoy's, who looked a bit off the ball. For the whole half, CircleBoy's created some good chances, as did NWA, but no goals came. At times, it felt panicky at the back.

But the final whistle soon blew, and NWA were overwhelmed. I guess it was nothing more than they deserved, but they played their heart and soul out. So, they keep going, whislt CircleBoy's look to pick themselves up soon.

Deja Entendudes 3-1 ARRIBA

A well contested match, where Deja Entendudes became the first team to defeat ARRIBA. ARRIBA knew they had to win, after a dissappointing home draw against CircleBoy's. Perhaps that's why jonny started with more attacking intent. A good ball to deerhaunter led to a decent strike at goal, which was smartly saved by Donny.

jonny's partnership with deer was working well, and a through ball from jonny almost met deer, who probably would have put it away. Another good effort from deer was saved by Donny.

Deja also had their fair share of chances. Good link up play from rising and GOKU nearly led to a finish from GOKU, but it fell short of the goal.

One chance before the end of the half was when deer fired straight at Donny. It was soon followed up by a cross from deer, where jonny tapped it in. However, it was unfortunately on 5:01.

ARRIBA began the second half with attacking intent, with deerhaunter squaring a ball to GOKU. However, GOKU hit the post, when it probably looked easier to score.

It was Deja though, who took a shock lead. A great ball through from GOKU evading Ghose, who was n no man's land. It find rising, who was on hand to slot into an empty net.

That goal hit them hard, and the fact that pushed too high up the pitch was probably why they conceded again. A loose ball from Ghose could not find anybody, and was picked up by rising. He finished past Ghose to score a second for Deja.

Immediately though, ARRIBA replied. From completed open play, jonny found the ball, and slotted into an empty net. Thirty seconds left, and the pressure was on.

ARRIBA were trying desperate hard to salvage a point. However, it was Deja who got the last say. rising broke out from the midfield, and played a good ball to GOKU. He squared it back to rising, who tapped it into an empty net.

Much of a dissappointment then for ARRIBA, who will need to push on from this. For Deja though, they have done ever so well to defeat ARRIBA. Final score Deja Entendude's 3-1 ARRIBA

So, it was quite a dissappointing week, with few goals. It won't be one of the most remembered week's but it's still had it's moments.

Goal of the week: rising's good link up play between himself and GOKU payed dividends, and his final goal shown just this
Player of the week: GOKU, who on numerous occassions layed the foundations for a decent win against ARRIBA

Shock of the week: Deja Entendude's great 3-1 victory over ARRIBA
